How We Cross the Bridge Together

Six simple steps from neighbour to neighbour — from registration to fast internet at home.

📝
01

Register Online

Visit bridge.org.zw and register with your name, email, province, and area. No payment needed — just your details.

🤝
02

Form a Group

20+ people in the same neighbourhood join together. Elect 3 group leaders — Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.

🏛️
03

Find a Hub

Your group identifies a central location — library, church, or community hall — as the internet distribution hub.

🛰️
04

Connect Together

The group pools $1–$2 each and purchases a shared Starlink, TelOne fibre, or high-speed radio connection.

📡
05

Extend to Homes

Using low-cost mesh Wi-Fi and unlicensed 2.4 GHz point-to-point radios, the connection reaches every member's home.

🌐
06

Everyone is Online

High-speed internet at home for $1–$2/month. Learn, earn, connect — the Bridge is crossed. Repeat, grow, split, expand.

Proven, Affordable Technologies

The Bridge uses widely available, low-cost, and license-free technologies to connect communities.

🛰️

Starlink Satellite

50–200 Mbps. Ideal for rural areas. Shared among 30–50 members.

🔗

TelOne Fibre

20–100 Mbps. Best for urban and suburban areas with fibre availability.

📻

Radio Link

PowerTel/Africom wireless. Good suburban coverage, affordable plans.

📶

Mesh Wi-Fi

TP-Link, GL.iNet, Ubiquiti mesh nodes distribute Wi-Fi to nearby homes.

🎯

Point-to-Point Radio

2.4 GHz unlicensed radios reach homes up to 3 km from the Hub.
