20+ people in the same neighbourhood join together. Elect 3 group leaders — Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Your group identifies a central location — library, church, or community hall — as the internet distribution hub.
The group pools $1–$2 each and purchases a shared Starlink, TelOne fibre, or high-speed radio connection.
Using low-cost mesh Wi-Fi and unlicensed 2.4 GHz point-to-point radios, the connection reaches every member's home.
High-speed internet at home for $1–$2/month. Learn, earn, connect — the Bridge is crossed. Repeat, grow, split, expand.
The Bridge uses widely available, low-cost, and license-free technologies to connect communities.
50–200 Mbps. Ideal for rural areas. Shared among 30–50 members.
20–100 Mbps. Best for urban and suburban areas with fibre availability.
PowerTel/Africom wireless. Good suburban coverage, affordable plans.
TP-Link, GL.iNet, Ubiquiti mesh nodes distribute Wi-Fi to nearby homes.
2.4 GHz unlicensed radios reach homes up to 3 km from the Hub.
